Will Blueshoot also work on my mobile phone?Blueshoot works on a great amount of modern as well as older mobile phones, which support Java and Bluetooth. Blueshoot is free and so you can try it out. :)

How do i load Blueshoot onto my mobile phone? There are different possibilities.
You can load Blueshoot onto to your PC first and then copy it onto your telephone via data cable or Bluetooth.
You can also load and install the program directly onto your telephone by using your own phone-browser m.blueshoot.net. Be careful, by using this method you may have to pay for the connection (for data transfair). Just use Wifi connection or flatrate.
You can also have a SMS with a Wap Push Link sent to you, to make the download onto your phone easier. For this Service you will certainly have to pay!
Will my message be sent as SMS?
No, the Bluetooth protocol stack is not fitted to send short messages as SMS. Therefore Blueshoot works with little tricks and sends your message in the form of a business card ( vard ) via OBEX comunication protocol, which most bluetooth capable mobile phones have implemented and therefore can receive your message.

How will my message be shown to the receiver?
This depends on which phone model the receiver is using. In the ideal case your message will be shown directly on the phones display. In some other cases the receiver will be asked in advance if the message shall be received. If the answer is „ yes „ , the message will be sent and stored as business card in the incoming SMS folder and can then be read.
In other cases the receiver will be asked if the message shall be added to the conacts.
If the answer is confirmed with „ yes „ the message will be stored in the adress book as a business card and can then be recalled and read.
Every time I send a message, I receive a security message. Can I turn this function off?Yes, you should certainly turn this function off! Only in this way you have the best use of Blueshoot.
How this really works depends on which phone model you are using. The best thing is you look up in the instructions for your mobile phone, how you can change the installed adjustment of the security message function on your phone.
Why does it sometimes take so long if I want to break off the process of sending? This has a technical backround and has something to do with the way the implementation of the bluetooth-stack of the receiving phone is set out. If at some stage you can´t break off the process of sending by pressing „ cancel „ you have to wait for a Timeout on the receiving appliance or wait for an interaction of the user.

What is the meaning of the different coloured little Icons? In the list of the found bluetooth devices the green Icon means that the appliance can received your message. If there is a red Icon it may be possible that you can´t send a message.
In the list of sent messages the green Icon means, that your message has been received. A red Icon means that the receiver has refused your message or not acceptet it, and a blue Icon means that the receiver was not available at the time of sending.
What is the meaning of the Device Filter? With the 'Device Filter' you can make your search more specific. You can program your Filter in such a way that for example the Blueshoot only looks for mobile phones and disregards printers, Navigation systems or PC´s.
The Filter can also differentiate between device names.
You can read more about this under 'Instruction' - 'Settings'.
